A couple of hours of real time video footage was taken during the high meteor activity of the perseid shower 2015. The brighter meteors are shown in this compilation. The perseids are quite fast with about 60 km/s and produce the typical green trains that last about one or two seconds. They are formed by the excitation of atmospheric oxygen at heights of about 100 km and a wavelength of 558 nm (Borovicka, 2006).
