It was a chilly cold night with -10 degrees Celsius. Dense fog covered the mountain until about 5:30 CET. But as promised, the clouds settled a bit and the peak of Feldberg set free. The brightness in the zenith was down to 21.33 mag per arcsecond2 at about 5:45 CET, 29.01.2023. This is 1.85 times more bright than the natural clear and moonless sky due to light pollution. Therefore the sky is brightened by 85 % by the lights of Strasbourg, Mulhouse, Basel, Zürich, Freiburg and the weather stations close by. Measurements were obtained with SQM-LU-DL, serial number 2030.
